Emily Continued...

I've now been engrossed in the dance since 2005.  After continuing classes for about a year, I joined the Soul Fire Sisters, a belly dance troupe located in Estacada, Oregon.  In 2008 I left the Soul Fire Sisters to become the director of my own troupe, Wa-Ha-Keen, and began performing throughout the Northwest.  Around the same time I also started sharing this dance with others through teaching.  There is absolutely no pressure to perform when taking my class, but trust me when I say there is no greater high.

As well as a belly dancer I am also a licensed massage therapist and have been in practice since 2004.  As a healer I find great joy in helping people whether it be through dance or bodywork.  I dare you to let yourself heal through the power of dance.  I dare you to do this for no one but yourself.  I dare you to get in touch with your body and your sex.  I dare you to unleash your inner goddess and stand like a dancer.
